How do I adjust my calendar permission settings?

Learn how to allow or deny FitOn access to your calendar

The FitOn app gives you the opportunity to connect your calendar with the app. This allows for better planning for first-time workouts, makes it easier to log sessions, and serves as a handy reminder for upcoming sessions. Provided below are instructions for granting or denying access on an iPhone or Android. Directions are also provided for granting or denying access to the Google Calendar vs. Gmail calendar for Android.

How to Allow or Deny FitOn Access to Your Calendar on iPhone and Android

iOS:

Follow the steps below to allow or deny FitOn app access to your calendar on your iPhone:

  1. To allow or deny the FitOn app access to your calendar you will first need to go to the iOS Settings app

  2. Scroll down and tap Privacy & Security

  3. Under Privacy & Security tap Calendars and select FitOn

  4. Toggle the calendar setting ON to allow access or OFF to deny access

Note: If the toggle is green that means it is ON, if it doesn't have color that means it is turned OFF.


Android:

Follow the steps below to allow or deny FitOn app access to your calendar on your Android device:

  1. To allow or deny the FitOn app access to your calendar you will first need to go to your phone settings

  2. Under Settings, tap on Apps

  3. Then tap on Permissions Manager

  4. Once you have tapped on Permission Manager, find Calendar and tap on it

  5. Scroll down, find FitOn, and tap on it

  6. Tap Allow or Deny to adjust FitOn's access to your calendar

Google Calendar vs. Gmail Calendar for Android:

If you have an Android device, you can choose to use either Google Calendar or Gmail Calendar with FitOn, and You'll need to grant permission for each one separately. Here’s how:

1. Find and tap your phone’s settings
2. Find and tap on Apps

3. Under Apps, find and tap FitOn

4. Find and tap Permissions

5. Under Permissions tap on Calendar

6. Under Calendar permission, tap on “See all FitOn permissions” (located underneath Allow or Deny)

7. Once you have tapped the “See all FitOn permissions” it will show you the options for Google Calendar and Gmail Calendar

a. Tap on the Google calendar icon and either allow or deny the FitOn app access
b. Tap on the Gmail calendar icon and either allow or deny the FitOn app access
