Learn How to Connect FitOn to Google Fit

Connecting your FitOn and Google Fit accounts will automatically sync your FitOn workouts to the Google Fit app. This will help you to keep track of all your data in one convenient place, so you can better monitor your progress.

How to Connect to Google Fit

To enable our Google Fit integration, either:

  1. Navigate to the FitOn app and tap to open it

  2. Go to Profile by tapping on the user icon

  3. Find and tap the Settings icon

  4. Once the Setting is open, tap on Google Fit at the top of the screen

  5. Tap on Allow to give FitOn access to your physical activity data

  6. Once you have tapped "Allow" you will be prompted to choose an account or add an account to sync the data with

  7. Tap "Allow" to allow access to your account

  8. You will be notified that your account has been linked when it is done

When you have completed all of the steps, the data generated from your activities and workouts should begin syncing with Google Fit. However, please take note that once enabled this will sync all your future workouts but there is no way currently to sync past workouts prior to when you enable Google Fit.

How to Sync Steps with Google Fit

  1. Check to see if steps are correctly tracking in the Google Fit app.

  2. If they are correctly tracking in Google Fit, go to the FitOn app, navigate to Weekly Progress by tapping on the info button at the top of the For You screen. Check to see if there's a "Connect" button next to the "Steps" chart displayed there, and tap to connect.

  3. You can add steps by opening the Google Fit app, tapping the large tracking circle at the top (this opens up the 'My Activity' page) tapping the + in the top right to add an activity, adding the number of steps in the "Steps" field, and adding the activity.
